Seth Thompson & Thomas Swiss

STATEMENT: In the Woods, a collaborative effort between Thom Swiss and Seth Thompson examines the ideas of memory, aging and loss. The result of the collaboration suggests the way language (in this case a poem by Swiss) can be re-represented and changed by images (a film by Thompson).

Travis Wall

STATEMENT: Someone very dear to me is off in the wilds of Quebec. I sent her a screen-shot of a new media piece I was describing, so that she could look over my shoulder. After uploading the picture, I made another of screen-shots opened in my browser and subjected to strong compression. I made the first because I'm a hopeless romantic. And the second because of my desktop's charming replicability.

Kristen Baumlier

TITLE: gogo
STATEMENT: I love how texture looks on screen.

Some of my favorite scans of small objects don't work into the final form of projects. These pieces remain in folders as little pieces.

How can these favorite little scraps not live outside my workspace?

What controls the elements that work in my RGB space?
